Our Lady of Consolation Church
The project is based within Our Lady of Consolation Church, Govanhill, in the south side of Glasgow but serves the entire geographical area of the Archdiocese.  The church is a large and modern building and the project has access to both the church and a large downstairs hall for events and activities. We share the space with the Youth Pastoral Centre of the Archdiocese.

Govanhill is an area 2 miles to the south of the River Clyde from Glasgow City Centre. It can be approached from High Street via Aitkenhead Road then Cathcart Road or Jamaica Street then Pollokshaws Road.

Our Lady of Consolation church sits on Inglefield Street at the end of Carfin Street, near Calder Street. It is a large cube-shaped brick building with a large cross on top of it.

By Car
The best approach is from Cathcart Road, into Govanhill Street, then onto Inglefield Street itself. Please note that Inglefield Street is blocked off where it meets Calder Street and also where it meets Carfin Street.

By Bus
First Bus services that go near to Inglefield Street are:
7 -  Carntyne to Cambuslang via City Centre (Union Street, Argyle St, Stockwell St, get off on Calder Street)
12 - Woodhill to Rutherglen via City Centre (Union Street, Argyle St, Stockwell St, get off on Calder Street)
31 – Milton to East Kilbride  (Argyle St, Stockwell St,  get off where Cathcart Rd crosses Calder Street)

44 – Knightswood to Eaglesham  (Union St, Jamaica St, get off at Somerfield on Victoria Road)

You should allow around 10 to 20mins for the bus journey time from the City Centre area to Govanhill, depending on rush hour traffic etc.

By Train
If you are travelling by train, the closest station is Crosshill, which is on the Cathcart Circle line from Glasgow Central Station. There are several trains per hour and the journey time is around 10 minutes. The walk from the train station to Inglefield Street takes another 10 minutes or so.
