Martin Jones combines a soft yet powerful blend of Americana and Country music, captivating audiences with his performance style and songwriting genius.  For several years, Martin has acquired a following from playing the Danny Kyle open stage at Celtic Connections.  In 2008, he was a finalist in the Billy Kelly Songwriting Contest at Oran Mor and clear winner of the first heat.

Citing Hank Williams and Gram Parsons as influences, Martin has a unique playing style and writes songs in English and Spanish.  He recorded a selection of favourite hymns to raise funds for his home parish in Greenock. With his band he has performed concerts in the Royal Concert Hall, o2 Academy, ABC2 and Kings Tuts in Glasgow and has performed numerous times in the Motherwell Concert Hall. His music has received compliments and airplay from Clyde 1 and XFM and he continues to write and perform when he is not busy with university work.
