Archbishop Mario Conti: 'The Arts Project is about facilitating a Christian presence in the world of drama, music, film and the visual arts.
The Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project  (AGAP) was founded in October 2006 by Archbishop Mario Conti of Glasgow as a new and exciting opportunity for expressing, exploring and sharing Christian values through the arts.

The major output is LENTFEST, an annual festival of Faith and Arts which takes place during the season of Lent in venues across the Archdiocese.

Following a small pilot project in 2007, LENTFEST 2008 followed and LENTfest is now firmly established as a channel for anyone who wishes to contribute to the cultural life of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.  The ethos of the project is broad ranging, embracing both the popular and the classical, the contemporary and the traditional and our work need not be overtly religious as all art can be a vehicle for leading us towards an enrichment of our faith.

LENTFEST is managed by Stephen Callaghan (Arts Project Manager). Stephen is a Theatre, Film and Television studies graduate of the University of Glasgow with diplomas in Speech and Drama Teaching from the London College of Music and Media.
