Cosima Piano Quintet

Evelina Puzaite

Evelina Puzaite returns to Lentfest

Following Evelina Puzaite’s phenomenal recital last year in St. Andrew’s Cathedral, she returns to Lentfest to perform with her Cosima Piano Quintet. Still inspiring – a charis-matic and sensitive performer. “Cosima” means order and beauty. With their own unique brand of these musical qualities, with their deep commitment and abounding energy, Cosima, will perform a wonderfully varied evening of music for you, to compli-ment the beautiful art on the walls and the magnificent backdrop of the Memorial Chapel.

Cosima are graduates of the The Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and current students, travelling up from London to join you – performing a Mozart duo, written for Archbishop Colloredo in the 18th century, a Schubert trio, one of his last compositions and the Korngold Piano Quintet – some of his most lovely music. Order, beauty and passion.

“One of the most exciting young ensembles I have heard. This group will really go places.” Professor Alexander Baillie, Conway Hall, 2011

‘Puzaite showed herself a fearless pianist, in complete and poetic control of some thick textures’.
‘Radiant string-playing brought out the melancholy, soaring songfulness of the String Quartet …’ The Sunday Telegraph, October 2011
