Songs of Hope Online Video Challenge:
Are you a songwriter, a musician or a band? We are looking for individuals and groups to contribute to the music programme for Lentfest 2022. Reflecting on the theme, “Always be ready to give an answer for the HOPE that is within you.” (Peter 3:15), we are challenging you to come up with something inspirational. It could be an original work or a favourite song that you love to sing/play. To take part, we would like you to upload a video of you playing/singing. This video should be no more than 5 minutes long. By doing so, you give AGAP permission to broadcast this video via the Internet, including our social media channels, as part of Lentfest 2022. Please include in the video your name and the title of the song that you are singing.
Words of Hope Online Video Challenge
Are you a writer, storyteller or poet? We are looking for individuals and groups to contribute to the programme for Lentfest 2022. Reflecting on the theme, “Always be ready to give an answer for the HOPE that is within you.” (Peter 3:15), we are challenging you to come up with something inspirational. It should be an original work or one that is not subject to copyright claims (so if you fancy reading a Shakespeare monologue, or something by Wordsworth, that’s fine!). To take part, we would like you to upload a video of you playing/singing. This video should be no more than 5 minutes long. By doing so, you give AGAP permission to broadcast this video via the Internet, including our social media channels, as part of Lentfest 2022. Please include in the video your name and the title of the piece that you are reading/performing. If it is the work of another author, please also state when it was written.
Finally…
In compliance with safeguarding, under-18s who wish to be considered for the Online or Live Programme must have the written permission of their parent or guardian. Please note that an invitation has been issued for schools within the Archdiocese of Glasgow to take part in a different initiative, entitled "Schools for Hope" so as to involve young people in the programme.
The deadline for all of the above is Wednesday 9th February 2022 (but, the earlier the better!). Inclusion in the festival programme is entirely at the discretion of the Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project and no disputes will be entered into.
Please note that there is no financial remuneration for taking part in the Words of Hope or Songs of Hope challenges.
