Film & Faith Club

Do you like movies?
Are you aged 15 or over?

Next meeting – THURSDAY 3rd NOVEMBER 2011 at 7.00PM!
AGAP has started a monthly Film and Faith Club that gives people the chance to come along, relax and watch a movie on the big screen, with big speakers in the hall at St Michael’s on the Gallowgate at Parkhead Cross.

The club is completely FREE OF CHARGE and all you have to do is turn up!  We will start running the film at 7.00PM and afterwards there will be a chance to chat about it in an informal setting.  The movies will be chosen by AGAP to begin with but, as the club forms, participants will have the chance to suggest film titles.

You can bring popcorn, crisps, sweets or juice, if you like!  Bring your pals too or come on your own.  There is no obligation to attend every time but it might be fun to get to know the other people.  There is no upper age limit but the film certificate and the discussion component mean that we have to aim it at people aged 15 or over.  If there is a significant demand for a younger people’s club, we’ll listen to it and try to respond.

NEXT MEETING: THURSDAY 3rd NOVEMBER at 7.00pm (until around 10.30pm), St Michael’s Church Hall, 1350 Gallowgate, Glasgow G31 4DJ (next to the Bellway housing estate, opposite Cineworld at Parkhead Cross).    This month, an old classic about the true story of the apparitions of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, to a poor peasant girl called Bernadette, which led to Lourdes becoming one of the most visited pilgrimage sites of all time and a place of many miracles.  The discussion will focus on the theme of Marian devotion.
