AGAP is a community arts project with a difference! Founded on the values of the Gospel, we aim to be a positive, inclusive creative space for everyone wishing to contribute to the cultural life of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.  We are the organisers of Lentfest and Arts in Autumn and of various events throughout the year, including exhibitions, theatre productions, concerts, film and literary events and more...explore our site to see how you can get involved!
"Art and the Saints are the greatest apologetics for the Faith."

The Ethos of AGAP's Work.

How you can be part of it.

  • Provide an inclusive, positive environment for an encounter with the Catholic faith through the arts, wherever you are in your faith journey.
  • Encourage the creativity of individuals and groups by facilitating opportunities for the sharing and development of artistic talents.
  • Provide an obvious channel for those wishing to contribute to the cultural life of the Archdiocese through their gifts and talents.
  • Create a network of collegiality and good will among artists across all artistic fields.
  • Represent the Catholic Community as a positive, pro-active contributor to the arts and culture, facilitating dialogue and building bridges.
  • Attend our events.  Art requires an audience to engage with.  We keep our prices low and many of our activities are free but it doesn't reflect the quality and we work hard to produce them.
  • Perform/Exhibit with us.  We hold open auditions for all our community theatre productions and are also keen to involve musicians, poets and artists in our activities.  Be brave!
  • Welcome us. We offer low-cost workshops to schools and rely on parishes and community venues to host our productions.  Please consider booking us in when we have events/activities to offer.
  • Volunteer with us.  Keeping things portable across the Archdiocese means having people to help with driving, lifting and shifting, hospitality and more.
  • Pray for us.  Whatever we do is for the glory of God.  Please help us by praying for our work.
