Workshops and Talks

Perhaps the greatest drama to ever have unfolded is the rollercoaster ride of Salvation History. Saints and sinners, rascals and redemption mark the human walk with God. Through storytelling, movement and imagination, AGAP has enabled our young people to journey into the realm of things unseen, the realities which envelop us, an awakening made real by drama. Passion, authenticity, orthodoxy and professionalism. These are the hallmarks of AGAP's workshops.

We invited AGAP to perform Oggie! Oggie! Oggie! to our S3 and S5 pupils. The crew was very professional, setting things up to make the most of the space that we had. The play itself was amusing and engaging but also with a strong message about faith. Stephen wasn't scared to show St Augustine as he really was but also emphasised how his faith in God increased throughout his life, despite his doubt and the many challenges he faced. The play led to many interesting discussions with our pupils afterwards particularly around the topics of forgiveness and repentance. I would definitely be interested in having more of AGAP's plays at Taylor High.

Stephen's performance of Oggie Oggie Oggie was funny and gripping- really high quality. The pupils and staff loved it and it was a great way to teach aspects of the This Is Our Faith curriculum. Stephen and his team were very accommodating, flexible and great to work with. I would highly recommend!

Over the last five years Stephen has facilitated a number of activities within the school. On two occasions Stephen has delivered the keynote address as part of our S5 Conference. Both times pupils and staff were fully engaged and captivated by Stephen’s delivery style which mixed important reflections on our Faith interspersed with moments of humour and self-reflection. Throughout this Stephen was able to tell his vocation story and the importance of his Faith while challenging the pupils to reflect on these important issues in their lives. Stephen has also delivered a similar talk to a smaller group of Caritas pupils and again engaged all of the pupils in his presentation. I have no hesitation in recommending Stephen to all schools and would encourage as many as possible to allow their pupils to experience some of the excellent work Stephen does.
